SNMP message activation
Hibernatus can be remote controlled by a third party system using SNMP messages. A network administrator can, for example, wake up the computers on which he needs to make a data backup and then switch them back to hibernation mode when he is done.
Schedule profile activation
Each profile allows the parameterization of several time signals for each day of the week. It is thus possible to activate various tasks automatically several times a day. The management of bank holidays within each profile also allows to parameterize the actions to be carried out, or not, depending on the day. Bank holidays can be configurated.
Swipe card activation
One of the truly innovative functionalities of Hibernatus is to adapt the state of a computer (hibernation mode, lock, etc.) to the geographical location of its user(s), information given in real-time by any centralized physical access-control system. This information can also be obtained by the timestamping system.
It is thus possible to automatically switch a PC to hibernation mode when its user leaves the premises like at lunchtime or in the evening. Many other scenarios can be parameterized like the locking of the user session, the activation of the sleep function, or both at the same time, when the user is in a different geographical location from his designated working area.
Manual activation
At any time, the administrator of Hibernatus can start an existing scenario or carry out a non preset specific action. Scenarios can also be triggered off by using the “Hibernatus Client” application installed on any PC of the network.
